About the Founders
Chelsea Pinky, Glynn Pogue and Sade Parham are the founders of Blue Water Girls. The Brooklyn natives initially came together as the hosts of the popular podcast Black Girls Texting a show they started to highlight the multiplicities of Black women’s identities.
Rather than hiding from the sun, Chelsea, Glynn and Sade believe we should embrace its transformative power, allowing it to unlock the complexities of our complexion.
Inspired by their own wanderlust, the trio created Blue Water Girls to celebrate their love for travel and the glow they get when the sun kisses their skin.
As founders, they are committed to shifting the narrative that stigmatizes darker skin and celebrate the richness and diversity of varying complexions.
