Travel Like A Blue Water Girl: Our Miami F1 Weekend Guide

We headed to Miami for Formula 1 weekend and made the most of every moment—sun-soaked days, unforgettable meals, and nights that ended with dancing. Whether you're planning your own Miami getaway or bookmarking ideas for next year’s F1 festivities, here’s our guide to must-do activities across food, beach, and nightlife.

FOOD: Flavors Worth Racing For

Miami’s culinary scene is unmatched, especially during a high-energy weekend like Formula 1. Here were our top spots:

Mandolin Aegean Bistro: Tucked away in a charming 1940s house, Mandolin is the perfect escape from the chaos of the weekend. We loved the grilled octopus, the beet salad, and the lobster orzo and fresh Mediterranean vibes.

Uchi: A modern Japanese restaurant that wowed us with every dish. Think melt-in-your-mouth nigiri and inventive bites that felt like edible art.

Joe’s Stone Crab: A Miami institution. We indulged in buttery stone crab claws and key lime pie—it was the perfect pre-race treat that felt classic and celebratory.

BEACH, POOL & STAY: Where to Glow and Unwind

You know Blue Water Girls loves a good beach day—and Miami did not disappoint. We made time for both classic and hidden-gem spots:

Soho Beach House: Chic, low-key luxury with the best frozen cocktails. It’s where we went to tan, recharge, and spot a celeb or two.

Miami Pool House: A stylish newcomer with a creative crowd and great energy. It’s giving cool girl summer, and we were here for it.

The Shelborne Hotel: The newly reopened Art Deco gem was one of our favorite stops all weekend. We went to their opening party and sipped on champagne, enjoyed the raw bar, and caviar bumps—yes, they are worth the hype!

NIGHTLIFE: The After-Glow

When the sun goes down, Miami turns up. For nightlife, one spot stood out:

Dante’s HiFi: This intimate vinyl-listening bar was the vibe. The music curation? Immaculate. The energy? Effortlessly cool. It was the perfect way to unwind from the chaos of the Grand Prix and dance the night away in a space that felt both elevated and unpretentious.

Whether you're headed to Miami for F1 or just want a warm-weather reset, this city has everything you need to glow—Blue Water Girls style.
